What it doesn't do

We'd rather you know before downloading.

How to open PowerPoint files

  1. Download Omia and install it (Mac or Windows)
  2. Double-click the .pptx, or drag it onto the Omia window
  3. Scroll through the slides; edit text and click Save if needed

Why a local viewer

Uploading a pitch deck to a web viewer just to read it is a bad trade. Omia opens it locally, and a typo fix doesn't mean installing Office.

FAQ

How can I open a .pptx without PowerPoint?

Install Omia (Mac or Windows) and double-click the file. The slides open right away.

Can I edit the slides?

You can change the text on slides and save. Layout, images and slide order stay as they are.

Can I convert PPTX to PDF?

Not yet. Save As only makes a copy of a PowerPoint file.

Is it free?

Viewing files is free forever, with no sign-up. Saving edits, converting, and opening pro formats (DWG, STEP, SketchUp, CorelDRAW) each come with 5 free uses; after that it's a one-time $19.90 licence, no subscription.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Omia opens and converts files on your own computer. Nothing is sent to a server or an AI service.

Omia also opens: Word · Excel · PDF · 150+ formats in one app
